Amphibious house, Colombia
A lot of problems with heavy rains in South America have increased demand for houses, which are able to resist floods. For this reason, FDN, as the main specialist in floating structures, has develop an amphibious house, which would be possible to use for living both in dry and flooded conditions. Sophisticated light structure of the house and adjacent anchor system enable controlled flotation during the floods and return to its initial position afterwards. In addition, low structural weight makes transportation and assemblage easy. Use of cheap materials and simple structural solutions make this house affordable for everyone.
