Durable and Maintenance-free lock doors made from Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC)

FDN is printing the world’s first 3D printed concrete heavy traffic bridge. The bridge will be built for the province of Groningen in the  North of The Netherlands. The research and testing started in 2016 and is still ongoing. The bridge is 18 meters long and 4 meters wide. The bridge is made of C45 concrete and reinforced with iron bars. The printing process of the bridge will be completed at the end of this year.

The slender  HPC (high performance concrete) parapets have been installed on the new Zeelsterbrug bridge in Eindhoven. The new parapet elements are up to 11m long and 3m high. The problem was insufficient bearing capacity of the bridge deck. hence light and durable parapets had to be installed. FDN designed elements from HPC 120 with the thickness of the wall only 5cm.

FDN has finished the project of a new pedestrian bridge made form UHPC (Ultra High Performance Concrete) for the city of Eindhoven. This unique bridge is also accompanied with adjacent new roads and retaining wall for the canal.

The Chamber of Commerce, Mercedes-Benz and NRC Media presented the rankings of  the most innovative Dutch companies. FDN was placed on an excellent 17th position for its innovative modular Ultrabridges.

February 10-14, 2014

FDN actively participated at one of the largest international congresses dedicated to concrete structures. The FDN Ultrabridge has obtained a special Mention Award for Outstanding Concrete structures, which was awarded during the main ceremony.
